The Virtual Lab · Target verification
Does your target survive independent replication?
One pre-specified question: does the association between target X and disease or phenotype Y hold across N public cohorts when every cohort is reprocessed through one uniform pipeline? We report the answer either way.
What you receive
- Effect sizes
- Per cohort and combined, with heterogeneity and per-cohort QC.
- Expression context
- For surface-antigen and drug-target candidates: target versus normal-tissue expression from reference panels.
- The negative
- Stated plainly when that is the finding, with the power to detect it.
- Reproducibility
- Code, containers and the provenance record.
Method
Raw-data reprocessing where available, never mixing processed matrices from different pipelines. Ontology-mapped metadata. Random-effects combination with heterogeneity reported. Replication criteria fixed in the scope before data are touched. Donor-level analysis of single-cell cohorts. Controlled-access data only under its own data-use agreement, segregated per project.
Independence
A report on your hypothesis is an independent analysis, not a product evaluation. Findings are not softened. Every report deposits its harmonised cohorts into the Public Data Atlas.
